As the summer season kicks into high-gear, there’s a lot to do at the Jersey Shore. But here are some of the events related strictly to the 4th of July holiday: fireworks, parades and festivals.
We have one weekend long (Saturday to Monday) event in Wildwood Crest: the Fourth of July Weekend Freedom Festival. Takes place 9am-5pm at the Gazebo (Rambler Road and Ocean Avenue), with crafters of all kinds, food, live entertainment and children’s activities. Or 7:30 – 9:30pm at the Centennial Park (Fern Road and Ocean Avenue) with FREE concerts! Saturday: B Street Band (Springsteen tribute band), Sunday: 2U (U2 tribute band), Monday: Bandstand (dance/party music).

FRIDAY, JULY 1st
Atlantic Highlands Fireworks. During the Fireman’s Fair, 9:30pm in the Harbor.
SATURDAY, JULY 2nd
Cape May Independence Parade. Patriotic parade featuring U.S. Coast Guard, plus various bands, veteran’s groups and floats.
SUNDAY, JULY 3rd
Red Bank’s KaBoomFest Fireworks on the Navesink. New Jersey’s biggest fireworks show! 100,000 people come to parks, boats and every other viewing location for this monster display over the Navesink at dusk.
Bradley Beach Fireworks on the Beach. 9pm on the boardwalk.
Barnegat Light 4th of July Parade. Barnegat Light’s 4th of July Parade Fun, Flags, & Floats. 20th & Central down Broadway to 10th Street.
MONDAY, JULY 4th
Atlantic City Fireworks: 9:20pm, Marina District fireworks demonstration will illuminate the skies. 9:45pm, Atlantic City Boardwalk coastline pyrotechnics spectacular continues.
Asbury Park 4th of July Parade & Fireworks. On the Boardwalk.
4th of July Weekend on the Beach in Avalon. Fireworks & Free Concert in the Park, Oceanfront at 78th St.
Fireworks Over The Bay In Beach Haven. At dusk, 9th and Bay Avenue, on the bay.
Cape May Fireworks Extravaganza. All day old fashion lawn party and picnic with hotel tours, games, food, music culminating with a fireworks display at 9 pm at the historic Congress Hall Hotel.
North Wildwood Independence Day Parade. Begins at 15th & Atlantic Ave. at 9am; proceeds north to 1st Ave.; prizes awarded for best decorated bikes, strollers and wagons in Red-White-Blue theme.
Wildwood Fourth of July Fireworks Display. On the Beach at Pine Avenue, 10pm.
Ocean City Fourth of July Celebration. Kite flying competition at 5pm followed by entertainment. A spectacular fireworks display off 9th Street beach tops off the evening.
Sea Isle City Fireworks. JFK Blvd & Beach, 9pm.
Seaside Heights Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza. 9pm! Sponsored by Coca-Cola.
Stone Harbor July 4th Celebration & Independence Day Festivities. The festivities begin at the 80th St. Recreation Field at 9am with a Sand Sculpture Contest (on the beach), Hoy’s Candy Scramble, foot races, slow bike race, and much more! The celebration continues in the evening beginning at 6pm with live music, food and Fireworks at 9:30.
