Saturday and Sunday, the Tuckerton Seaport hosts the 20th annual edition of the Baymen’s Seafood & Music Festival, from 11am-5pm. You can enjoy delicious Jersey fresh clams, crabs, scallops and shrimp from the finest local seafood purveyors, crafters, vendors, music, food, refreshments, family activities, demonstrations, boat rides, boat builders and decoy carvers, and much more!
Saturday and Sunday it’s also SkimBash 2012 in Sea Bright, Jersey Shore’s premier Pro/Am skimboarding contest, between 9am-4pm on the Municipal Beach. This Skim USA points-accredited skimboarding competition attracts amateur and professional skimboarders from around the county and across the country.
Saturday and Sunday it’s Metallica’s Orion Festival at Bader Field in Atlantic City. Metallica has invited 22+ of their favorite artists from across the music spectrum. Headlining both nights, Metallica will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Black Album by playing it in its entirety on one night and all of Ride the Lightning on the other night.
More music Saturday and Sunday in Point Pleasant Beach: the “Rhythm at the Shore” Music Festival, combining Jersey Shore’s best music, food and wine (formerly known as the Jazz & Blues Festival). Takes place on Arnold Ave and admission is free.
Saturday it’s the first ever Taste of Highlands. 6 hours of tastings from approximately 20 restaurants and eateries in Highlands. You can ride the trolley or walk to all the great local restaurants. Event runs 12-6pm and tickets are $4.
Also Saturday, Ocean City hosts an Antique Auto Show. There will be over 300 vintage vehicles at the Tabernacle grounds on 6th & Asbury Ave, between 9am–2pm, followed by a Boardwalk parade after 2pm.
