Jersey Shore Events on the Weekend of September 13-14, 2014

The busy summer season is gone, but the Jersey Shore is still enjoying summer-like weather. And there are a lot of events at the Jersey Shore this coming weekend, September 13-14, 2014.

The big weekend-long events include:

  • Atlantic City Seafood Festival. Two day extravaganza of fun, food, and entertainment. Chowder cookoff, sand sculpting, eating contests, triathlon at Bader Field
  • Jersey Shore Events: Belmar Pro SurfBelmar Pro Surf. Pro competition, 9am-5pm every day at the 16th Ave Beach
  • Seaside Heights Clownfest. A weekend full of slapstick comedy, vivacious shows and colorful clown creations parading down the Boardwalk. The annual Big Clown Parade will take place on the boardwalk on Sunday at 2pm
  • Miss America Competition. Events leading up to the final Competition on Sunday at the Atlantic CIty Boardwalk Hall include 3 nights of preliminary competitions on Sep 10, 11 and 12 and the “Show Us Your Shoes Parade” on the Boardwalk on Sep 13
  • Sea Isle City Fall Family Festival. JFK Blvd & Promenade. The festival includes a seaside craft market with 400 vendors, food court, live music, children’s entertainment and a sand sculpting demonstration and contest. 9am-4pm
  • The Wildwoods Hydrofest on Sunset Lake. Exciting international powerboat racing event, coupled with a 6-block festival of craft, merchandise and food vendors, 9am-4pm

On Saturday there are some more cool events:

  • Allaire Village Art in the Park Crafters MarketOcean City Airport Festival. Annual festival at the Municipal Airport, 26th & Bay Ave. 10am-3pm. Features include a ground display of unusual airplanes ranging from World War II planes to Classics and Warbirds
  • Sun of a Beach Festival. The biggest endless summer beach party at the Jersey Shore, right at Bradley Park in Asbury Park! 12-6pm. Live bands, beer&wine oasis
  • Art in the Park & Fall Crafters’ Market at Allaire Village. 10am-4pm. Come for a day of art & craftsmanship where artists display their works on the grounds of Allaire Village
  • Manasquan Fall Festival in the plaza behind Downtown Manasquan. Over 100 vendors will be displaying items for purchase. Food will be available as well as onsite entertainment.
  • New Jersey State Firemen’s Parade. Parade begins at 1pm from Cresse & New Jersey Avenue in Wildwood Crest. Proceeds North to 20th Avenue. The Parade is generally four hours long and features over 300 pieces of apparatus by over 200 individual companies from four states

Finally, there are even more fun events on Sunday:

  • Boardwalk Aerobatic Airshow. 1:00pm, 6th-14th Streets in Ocean City. Thrill to some of the best stunt pilots and aerobatic champions in the world plus military demonstrations
  • Atlantic City International Triathlon. The international race consists of a 1 mile swim, a 20 mile bike, and 10 K run. The Sprint distance race consists of a 1/4 mile swim, 10 mile bike, and 5k run. Swim in the safe harbors of Atlantic City’s back bay, bike along the Atlantic City Expressway, and run on the World Famous Boardwalk
  • Asbury Park Punk Rock Flea Market. All-day super sale of punk rock clothes, music at the Convention Hall
